November in Finland comes with the typical weather, fall storms and some places get their first snow. This weekend we were in Jyväskylä.

The show was a typical show with more space for the ring than yesterday. We were able to get there quick via a long walking bridge.

The show judges began with the Black-silver and ended with the white with black and salt & pepper in between.

Saturday's show featured a stuffy ring used by a lot of dogs. It was crowded and moving around the area required a lot of, "Excuse me, I'm coming through."

In the last trip we had plnty of issues with our hotel. In this trip we were treated like royalty. We stayed in the penthouse that had gold faucets.

The first cacib didn't come without issues.

Our hotel room was not reserved and we were not able to find another hotel. We managed to find, which can loosely be described as, a room. The shower screen was broken. The beds were terrible to sleep on. Some of the lamps were not working. The A/C and refrigerator were not working. The list goes on and on.

On Friday evening, with Johanna, we took a journey on a ferry from Finland to Estonia and we returned on Saturday evening.

There was some tension in the air. There was a last minute change in judges as the scheduled judge, Sylvie Desserne, became ill. She was replaced by Rui Oliveria.

We finished off a successful day by having dinner in Chef's Kitchen on the Megastar ferry. Asparagus soup, shrimp risotto and creme brulee were on the menu.

This year the multi-breed show in Raisio was held in a new place at the Kerttula Sportscenter. It was a good choice as we didn't have to pay for parking and a cover charge.

The final show of the weekend in Estonia was the Schnauzer Speciality Show. It was, again, hot with a slight breeze. Cooling blankets, blowers and water were important this weekend for the dogs' health.

This past weekend we competed in a 2-day international dog show at the Saku Suurhall in Tallinn. We brought along Li ( Crazy Girl Grasant) and Åsa (Willy Lee Frosted Ohio Star).

Li turned 2 a few weeks ago and she needed just one certificate to become Estonia Champion. Åsa also needed one Junior certificate to become Estonian Junior Champion.

Needless to say, we were successful.

This trip took us to Riga, Latvia and while it began as planned, as soon as we arrived in Riga things took a turn for the worst as we ran into confusion with traffic and finding a good hotel. We finally found a nice place with good service.

Naka's (Willy Lee Ian White) amazing show season continues with Latvian certs and Best of Breed. It's everything we hoped for.

After the show, Emppu and Johanna were able to secure a table at Vincents Restaurant.

13.1.2018 SHOW TRAINING

There was some success in show presentation training. The results were interesting. The cold weather didn't bother the young presentation trainees as this was a good start towards official presentation.
