It was a successful trip to Riga!

We got more than we hoped for as we took home the Latvian Junior Show Champion, Latvian Show Champion, Junior Winner 2026 and finally Winner 2026. As icing on the cake, Etta was able to achieve her CACIB, so her CACIB account looks to be in great shape as she already has CACIBs from three different countries and three different judges.

... And the girl is only 20 months old!

It's a joy to travel the world with healthy dogs that are relaxed in any situation and never get startled. Show days, traveling and new environments are no problem for them.

A DREAM COME TRUE - FIRST JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP CHEANTAKE EXTRAVANGANT ESCAPADE "PRINCESS ETTA"

After about a year and half of waiting, our first international junior champion has now been confirmed. Our team's journey has produced a great result, something we are very proud of. Of course this achievement is not just a title, but a recognition of hard work, perseverance and shared passion. Thanks to the whole team: Nora & Petteri, Amanda, Eija, Tiptopdog, Johanna, Erja and the home crowd. THIS IS OUR MOMENT TO CELEBRATE TOGETHER!

In the morning, I wondered if it would be worth my time to wash and blow-dry our dog. The sky was greying and rain seemed an inevitability. Come show time, the weather showed no mercy with the pouring rain. During Siri's performance the ring was more like a swimming pool battered by the heavy rain.

Washing and blow-drying proved useless; Siri had looked perfectly groomed. However, even though she refused to perform in the heavy rain, we still got a good review. This was a memorable experience and now it has provided us with a new target - performing in the rain.

Etta's weekend show: Success and delicious food in Tallinn

The trips to the dog shows in Tallinn are always a greatly anticipated event. This time, with two international shows, it was absolutely perfect. We set off for the Estonia Winner 2026 with a familiar, easy-going group. Big thanks to Johanna, Eija and Rita for the company and successful trip!

In accordance with tradition

The voyage began on board the Tallink with a Chef's Kitchen a la carte lunch. The ship's updated menu was very interesting. The starter was cold-smoked duck fillet with cherry jam, bread and sprouts. The main course was seafood risotto with shrimp cake and fresh cabbage and a mouth-watering coriander salad - leaving no room for desert.

We got acquainted with a new accomodation, Lurich Residences which turned out to be clean, shiny and comfortable. The only hitch was that the TV did not work. However, this didn't affect the trip as we came to Tallinn with other things in mind.

Saturday jackpot and five-star relaxation

The show ring, for Etta, on Saturday was complete success as we got everything we set out for: an Estonian CAC and Cacib! After the great day we headed for Ülemiste shopping center, a real five-star shopping center. Everything you could ever possibly need is under that one roof. I love pizza, so we ate at Vapiano. Its motto "Va piano" means "Take it easy." The restaurant was very cozy, the pizza was delicious - perfect after the hustle and bustle of show day.

A tough Sunday and the delights of the return journey

The Estonia Winner 2026 show was on Sunday. The judge was very strict. Many dogs left with a very good EH rating which made Etta's EXC1 all the more heartwarming.

Etta was in excellent condition thanks to grooming courtesy of Tiptopdog and Nora's skilled hands. The result is always stunning. In the ring, Eija presented Etta with professionalism. Thank you ladies, you did a great job!

On the way back, I had time on the ship to celebrate a successful weekend and sample Tallink's updated menu. This time I started with cooked scallop carpaccio accompanied by horseradish and apple. The main course was fried cod, fennel salad, smoked cod brandade and roe white wine sauce seasoned with chives. This time, there was enough room left over for dessert: sparkling wine parfait, strawberries and strawberry-sparkling wine granita crowned this trip.

Overall, the trip was a great success. Now, we move on - we'll have to have that famous "Golden dinner" with sparkling white wine and chocolate cake again soon!

17.5.2026 ROYAL CANIN SHOW (RC ®) HELSINKI INT.

This year, the Helsinki International Dog Show was held at the Tuomarinkartano Greyhound Center. The weather was wonderful with warm, shining sun. The atmosphere was calm and the old team, Johanna and Amanda, joined us for this trip.

Etta performed amazing and shone in the ring like the sun in the sky. The sharp and enthusiatic performance was punctuated by the presence of crows whom bravely ventured into the ring. Wow! Now the first Finnish CACIB has been earned. This is a great achievement for the level of salt & pepper dogs in Finland is top class.

It was a sunny, but cold and windy day. My jacket really came in handy.

This time we came with our youngest star, Bellabellax Like The First Of Spring “Siri”.

It was a tight race for the top spot of the Junior class for bitches and after the usual performance and inspection “Siri” came out the winner!

One more Junior certificate and the first championship has been earned.

A great thanks to breeder Riitta-Leena for this mesmerizing dog.

We attended the Vaasa International Dog Show in beautiful, sunny Spring weather. The old group was together again - Amanda, Johanna and I. The day passed in the most relaxed and cheerful spirit possible.

The day was made special by the great in-ring performance of the young Bellabellax Like The First Of Spring “Siri”. The moment brought smiles and a reminder of why we do this - having fun together and enjoying even the smallest times of happiness.

A big thank you to the Tauluvuoret for taking care of Siri and to her breeder Riitta-Leena for this shining promise for the future.

11.–12.4. we had a successful and memorable weekend at the Tallinn International Dog Show. The journey on the ship was comfortable and the experience included good food and good company.

In the rings there was great success. Cheantake Extravagant Escapade “Etta” and the old lady Willy Lee Frosted Ohio Star “Åsa” performed beautifully and received new titles as a result. The greatest achievement went to Cheantake Extravagant Escapade “Etta” whom received her new CACIB - an important step to obtaining her international C.I.B. title.

One unfortunate aspect of the trip was the Restaurant Ginger did not meet expectations as the food is not at previous level. The decline of this establishment was an unpleasant surprise as its location near the hotel made it an easy choice during trips.

For next time, our new goal is to find a new, high-quality restaurant near our hotel in Tallinn. It will be somewhere that is easy to get to and consistently serves enjoyable experiences.

2025 MINIATURE SCHNAUZER OF THE YEAR RESULTS

In the Miniature Schnauzer of the Year competition, our dogs Star´s Of White Night Iseland ”Alina”, Willy Lee Frosted Ohio Star ”Åsa” and Cheantake Extravagant Escapade ”Etta” achieved great results but were unable to make top place finishers this year. Nevertheless, we are really happy with our performance.

We went to these shows with several dogs with a relaxed attitude, but the most important thing was working together in a good atmosphere and having nice experiences. These times make for the best memories.

On Sunday, March 1st, Väinö's ja Demi's puppies were born. The birth went as smooth as it could possibly go. Demi handled it with confidence, even though this was her first time. It has been wonderful to witness how naturally she took on the role of mother. Four puppies were born: two boys and two girls. The milking began immeidiately after.

The puppies have now doubled in weight and have been growing steadily. Demi takes good care of her little ones - washing and warmng each one. It's a joy to watch this little family and the puppies growing stronger day by day.

Our dog checkups for this year have started. Big thanks to veterinarian, Tuomas Illuka, our multitasker Maija and her nice staff.

PUPPIES, PUPPIES, PUPPIES

There is good news on the puppy front. After a hiatus of several years, we are finally getting winter puppies.

This litter meets the requirements set forth by the Finnish Schnauzer Club's puppy agency. We are members of this organization. Both of the parents meet PEVISA requirements. Also, both parents have had health examinations outside of the PEVISA requirements. Both dogs have won awards at shows and are lively Miniature Schanuzers. We hope that the puppies will have similiar personalities.

it should be noted that the litter is not on the breed association's puppy agency website. There are fewer inquiries as of late, possibly because of the irregular updating of the site.

We are greatly looking forward to these puppies.
